As an employee who is fairly new to AseraCare Home Health, Cindy has been thriving in her position as a staff physical therapist. In her role, Cindy is responsible for performing in-home patient evaluations to ensure that each of her patients receives the appropriate care. After performing evaluations, she develops and carries out rehabilitation programs that are specifically tailored to each patient. To make the patient experience as pleasant as possible, she even facilitates communication between the patient, doctor, family and insurance provider.

Cindy values the freedom and responsibility that goes along with her job, and she finds it rewarding to create and implement individualized rehab programs for her patients. Being able to help them achieve their goals while remaining at home is something that keeps Cindy excited about her work. She has several key drivers: “You should respect the individual, have an eye for detail, creativity in thought and passion in providing care,” she explains.

Being able to help individuals achieve their goals is very important to Cindy. In one case, she was able to assist a patient who had suffered a stroke and was dragging one of his legs while walking. After just a few visits, he was thrilled to have improved. He was even able to meet his goal of being able to go fishing again.

In addition to finding her work rewarding, she also lends thanks to the knowledgeable staff in her office who always make her days easier and more enjoyable.
